Happy Valentine's Day

A Belated Happy Valentine's Day to all of my Bloggie Friends!  I hope you all had a day filled with love.  My sweet boys and I stayed home and just hung out.  The mister and I will go out for date night this weekend.  These are a few photos of my Valentine decor this year.  Nothing too serious, just fun.

I love pulling out all of my little heart things...

I have a lot of cherubs in the house, so they get to come out front and center for Valentine's Day.

I'm working full time now (second week, still training, lots to learn) so I must get some sleep and let the pictures do my talking for me.  See you all around...

Until next time,

White Valentine's Wishes for You...

What did we do for inspiration before Pinterest???  Well, I for one am thankful for the bounty of beauty that lies on this wonderful site.  Yes, I am addicted.  I'm sharing some of my favorite white hearts which I will try to properly credit, but if I miss something, please let me know.  I'm sharing my white valentines with White Wednesday over at Faded Charm.  Stop on by and drool over all of the lovely shades of white.

Until next time,

Antique Grainsack Heart Ornaments and....a winner!

As promised, I just added some of my little antique grainsack hearts to my Etsy store, Elegant Farmhouse.  I hope to add a few more as well as some small stockings made from grainsacks as well this weekend or early next week.

And, also as promised, the random number generator and I have determined a winner to my Carolyn Westbrook book giveaway.  Thank you to everyone who entered and who became a follower, and to those of you who posted about the giveaway on your blog.  I loved reading your comments and getting to know you better.  Now that the giveaway is over, I am going to try to make the rounds to each follower and say hello.

I have to say, the winner of the giveaway must be under a lucky star this month.  This is the second giveaway she has won in the last couple of weeks.  As someone who never wins anything, I am immensely jealous.  She is a very nice gal and I have really enjoyed becoming a follower of her beautiful blog.  Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket girl....just sayin....

And the winner of the Carolyn Westbrook book, The French Inspired Home...

and one of my antique grainsack hearts...

and the handmade card...

and the vintage damask napkins...

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....

Give me a ringaling Rachel and I will pass on your information to the book publisher and get your pretty package from me all together and on its journey to you.

Until next time,

Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours...

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Pink Saturday!  As we prepare to share a day of love with our spouses, boyfriends, and significant others, I thought I would share a little of my home decor with you.  The sweet little bisque doll above has her quiver at the ready just for our special romantic day.

I just purchased this incredible hand painted Limoges trinket box from the amazingly talented china painter, Sara Miesner of Our Cottage Garden.  Although this beauty resides with me, you can find similar items here.

Colorado Springs artist Stan Awbry painted this most delicious cherub and roses painting.  It resides in my pretty parlor.  He really has the spirit of the Victorian rose painters down-and he's a guy!  Go figure...

These little sweeties grace a bookshelf that, until last week, held primitive salt glazed crocks.  I think this better reflects who I am right now.  I smile everytime I look at these little darlings...

Lastly, I have made up this pink wooden heart that is covered with a mosaic of vintage china and one of my original collages under glass.  It brings a smile to me every time I look at it and, if it makes you smile too, it can be purchased here.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your special someone.  Before you do though, be sure to pop by Bev's place at How Sweet the Sound and check out the other Pink Saturday participants.  It should be an awesome week to make the rounds!

Until next time,
