I got this antique French postcard online. I didn't realize how pretty it would be until it arrived from Quebec. I just love it! It reminds me of some of the beautiful mixed media creations I have been delighting in out here in blogland...only it's 70 years old or so. I thought it would be a lovely contribution to Pink Saturday, don't you agree? Hope you had a chance to work off your turkey by power shopping on Black Friday so now you can enjoy the rest of your weekend! And while you're recovering, pop on over to Bev's at How Sweet the Sound. She hostesses this event each and every Saturday and it's a lot of fun to see what everyone comes up with.
Until next time,
Happy Pink Saturday!

What a great find! Beautiful postcard. Happy Pink Saturday Grace
ReplyDeleteEven though some of the reproductions being made today are lovely, they just can't compare to the original old ones. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI tried working off my dinner at W&T's last night, but I think some of it is having too good of a time to leave!

ReplyDeleteHi, Judy... we've missed you on Pink Saturday. I didn't make the train this Saturday, but I hope to be back soon!
ReplyDeleteThat is, indeed, a lovely card, and at first I thought the man looked like William Powell, one of my favorite actors. Still not sure it isn't Powell. I love the colors and how sweetly romantic it is.
Hope all is well there in Quebec, and I wish you a very Happy Pink Saturday!
XO,
Sheila :-)

wonderful PS!!
ReplyDeleteThis is truly a beautiful postcard. I am thinking it is 3 dimensional from the photo. That makes it even more special. I am just in awe of things that have survived that long - especially when made of something as transient as paper! I hope I look that good when I'm 70 :-) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you did too. We did not do too much shopping, but did a little. I just relished being with my family this year. They were all home and I know I won't always have that luxury.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Smiles,
Tricia
