However, even I must admit that when I saw these two rooms that used pink liberally, albeit as an accent, I could see myself living in a pink room. I think the shades of pink that were chosen as well as the addition of some "grounding" chocolate brown make these spaces smart and sophisticated, but still very livable and family friendly. I'd probably have to 86 the pink hutch in order to maintain some semblance of marital bliss, but I think the big guy could probably live with everything else. He was the one who found this Pepto Bismol pink ruffled top Fenton vase some years ago at an antique mall and just had to have it, so I know he doesn't hate pink. But he did make ME go to the counter and pay for it! Oops, I think that may have been priveledged information, so could you do me a favor and keep it just between us? Thanks. Anyway, back to the rooms...
I think the fabric on this chair is TO DIE FOR...
This room makes me want to curl up with a good book and just lounge!
Until next time,
I am rather partial to pink myself but my most favourite 'pink' combination is pink and chocolate together, so yes that chair fabric is To Die For!!

Ha ha .....I always love it when you come out with your true confessions LOL - especially on Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to post on Pink Saturday too but I don't really have pick in my home either. But I really love the pictures of the pink interiors you posted. I'd love to curl up in that chair too - that's an exquisite vignette!
Cheers,

I do like Pink and chocolate together but a little green thrown in makes it even prettier.
ReplyDeletePlease visit my wallpaper blog gina. Happy PS!
These are very beautiful rooms - I love chocolate with pink. Of course one would need a husband who could live with so much pink - mine wouldn't!
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm into French greys - guess I could even use a little touch of pink here and there!
Hope you've had a happy Pink Saturday.

Too funny & great post! Happy PINK Saturday! ♥ Diane
ReplyDeleteHappy pink Saturday. The soft pinks of the second room are so warm. My favorite is the chair in the second picture.

Just love that chair and the roses.
ReplyDeleteLast year my clients made a strong move against the color pink...
ReplyDeleteHowever, when we did incorporate pink, I always added brown. I believe it makes it much warmer and sophisticated.
The stained is glorious, isn't it...Now, fingers crossed for it's travel through customs and shipping! :)
ReplyDeleteJudy...you are too funny. You most assuredly have a great outlook on life! Great post for PS! The chair is lovely. I also appreciate my pink in rather small doses as like pepto bismol...

Wow, Great pictures of pink..... Thinking Pink.
ReplyDeleteHee hee, have to chuckle, the first thing that went thru my mind when I saw your pictures was, "oh my gosh, I SO WANT that hutch". Love it! I have soft pink walls in my lr & dr, all whites pinks soft greens and roses everywhere! Oddly I do not like brown with pink. Or with anything come to think of it! Any ways.....Happy Belated Pink Saturday and thanks for sharing I really loved the pics!
ReplyDeleteVery relaxing rooms with pink. I'm afraid my husband wouldn't be crazy about living with a lot of pink. I had a friend back in the late 60's who lived in a house with pink kitchen appliances and a pink bathroom. She joked that her husband called it the princess house. I'm afraid the pink applicances disappeared just like the avacado and harvest gold ones some years later.
ReplyDeleteOh man I love that chair too!!!! LOVE all those rooms, never been a big fan of pink... but hey a girl can change her mind right??
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, that chair fabric is phenomenal! And I have the perfect spot for that chair.

The Pink chair...a dream come true! The fabric has a toile feel to it. When I found my pink sofas...it was love at first sight. From the overstuffed back pillows to the dainty flowers and small pin stripe welting.
ReplyDeleteI agree the living room (picture) is a place I could curl up with a cup of tea and book for a long respite.
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
Hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and have enjoyed my visit today. Your clock collection is lovely, my husband is a big watch collector so I understand your love of time and how a clock or watch can keep time. I will be back again to visit. Come by my blog and anytime and visit.
Have a great day,
Elizabeth
I love the fabric on that chair, too. Great rooms.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Judy.
